Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 June 2026. Plain-English terms for using liminals.space. Not legal advice; have them reviewed before relying on them.
What the service is
liminals.space turns photos you upload into stylised “liminal” images, a 3D view, a video and a keepsake. You can preview some results for free and pay a one-time fee to unlock the full creation. By using the service you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
Your content & your responsibilities
- You confirm you own or have the right to use every photo you upload, including the likeness of anyone shown in it.
- You must not upload content that is unlawful, infringes anyone’s rights, or that is sexual, or that depicts the abuse or exploitation of any person. Uploads may be screened and prohibited content may be reported.
- You keep ownership of your uploads. You also own the images you generate, to the extent permitted by the underlying AI provider’s terms.
- You’re responsible for what you do with your results, including anything you reshare publicly.
Payments, unlocks & refunds
- Payments are processed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record), who is the seller of record and handles tax. Prices are shown before you pay: see the pricing page.
- An unlock is a one-time purchase for a single creation. Because results are delivered immediately and digitally, and because we store nothing, purchases are generally non-refundable once delivered. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
- If something genuinely went wrong (e.g. you were charged but received nothing), email keon.me@gmail.com with the code shown on screen and we’ll make it right. Don’t pay twice.
“As is”, and limits
This is an experimental creative tool provided “as is”, without warranties. AI output is unpredictable and may not match expectations. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the affected creation. We don’t store your work, so download it before you leave. We’re not liable for results lost on refresh.
Acceptable use
Don’t abuse, overload, scrape, or attempt to circumvent the free-tier limits or payment of the service. We may rate-limit, block, or refuse service to protect the platform.
Changes & contact
We may update these terms; the “last updated” date will change. Questions: keon.me@gmail.com.
“Backrooms” refers to a broad, community-created liminal-space aesthetic and is used descriptively. liminals.space is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to A24, any film, or any creator associated with “The Backrooms.”
